New Smart City Innovation Program brings together global capabilities and structured Proofs of Concept Labs in Milton Ontario.
3Open Labs and the Milton Education Village Innovation Centre (MEVIC) have partnered with global IoT technology company BlueSurge to begin new Smart City Technology Labs and programs in Halton Region.

3Open Labs, which is located at the centre of Ontario’s Innovation Corridor in the Milton Education Village Innovation Centre has been working to build partnerships and expertise in IoT, AI and Blockchain innovations within the community since 2017. This partnership will mark the launch of a sector specific program in Smart Cities, hosted at the MEV Innovation Centre beginning in fall 2018.

The Smart City program will begin with a series of Discovery Days sessions, developed for municipal groups in the 401 corridor. Customers will get a high-level understanding of all the moving pieces, new strategies and long term savings they can achieve through the Smart City Roadmap Workshops. Offerings will also include customized workshops and assistance with the launch of individual pilots for groups interested in discovering how to better approach Smart City Projects.
